2009年に開業した天竜浜名湖鉄道線内で2番目に新しい駅。行き違い設備を持たない単式1面1線のホーム構造を持つ。駅舎は設置されていない。ホーム上には待合室が設置されている。駅周辺は田畑が目立ち、駅から少し離れたところに住宅街がある。プライムアースEVエナジーの本社最寄駅。
